The only design flaw is the dust collection chamber. To empty the collection chamber, try to use a ruler to loosen the debris so it falls out. The hepa filter is great. Using the tools is easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for mid-priced vacuum. The turbo brush is great for those hairier messes, and this vac performs well on wood & tile floors, as well as on carpet. The narrow end attachment is powerful and easy to use, picking up all the debris of daily living easily. The belt is a "lifetime" belt according to Bissell. It makes some noise, attachments also work very well and are nicely stored on the machine. The washable main filter means  you do not have to frequently buy replacement filters.emptying the dirt cup is a messy affair if it gets a little too full and best done outside. After emptying the cup you might have to vacuum the vacuum cleaner and the area around it. the entire outside of this machine is a dust magnet. The black and clear plastic of this machine seem designed to easily show dust, and the entire machine quickly becomes coated. Vacuuming the machine off followed by wiping down with a damp cloth is required to get the dust off. The vacuum has a special accessory that flips down in front of the main part of the vacuum that touches the floor. The accessory is a rough fabric-type lint brush that grabs any lingering fur when you pull the vacuum, and then all the fur on the lint brush is sucked up when you push the vacuum back.The turbobrush is really great at getting all the fur off of flat surfaces, but for crevices you really do need to use the crevice tool.It is a little heavy but by no means unmanageable.

The only disadvantage with it is the inner filter, if rinsed, takes days to dry. Also, the on/off control is not on the handle. This type of Bisell bagless vacuum picks up so much stuff. Great on pet hair, You will be able to empty the canister after every vacuum. No dirty bags sitting around. It's so easy to empty. This machine has many tools and features found on more expensive models. The unit works quite well--and is both powerful and relatively quiet in operation. The dirt container is conveniently located and easy to empty. The 27' power cord allows for an increased range of cleaning. For its cost, effectiveness, and ease of operation, this item has been a sound choice.It has great suction, it's lightweight, and it's easy to empty.
